Titirangi Theatre runs workshops throughout the year in voice, acting, movement, improvisation, and audition technique. Workshops are available to all ages and experience, whether you simply want to brush up on a few skills, learn something completely new, meet like-minded people, have a passion for acting, or just want to do something a little different!

Proudly based at Titirangi Theatre since 2005, DRAMATRAIN offers ACTING CLASSES for all aged from 5 to 95 and SCREENWRITING SESSIONS for all aged 16+
Classes are led by PROFESSIONAL TUTORS experienced in working in Film, Television, Theatre and Radio in the UK, USA and New Zealand.

AFFORDABLE and ACCESSIBLE with an emphasis on QUALITY TRAINING in STAGE and SCREEN SKILLS, DramaTrain classes are are great way to MEET NEW PEOPLE, LEARN NEW SKILLS and HAVE FUN!
Sessions are held weekly at Titirangi Theatre for regular terms throughout the year of an evening, weekend and during school holidays.

Q: Do I need any previous experience to join?
A: Classes are fun & participants do not need to have existing drama experience – just a willingness to take part; try new things & have fun doing so!

Q: How many terms are there?
A: There are 4 terms a year. Each term is 8 weeks long.  

Q: When are sessions held?
A: Sessions are of a Monday afternoon and evening.  

Q: Where are sessions held?
A:  On the stage of Titirangi Theatre, Lopdell House, Titirangi. If the Theatre schedule permits, we work on the stage. If not alternative venues will be found either at Lopdell House or elsewhere in Titirangi.

Dynamic Theatre for Youth
"FROM SCRATCH"

 

Tutor: Tui Mamaki has worked as an actress, singer, fire-dancer, director and performing-arts workshop facilitator for the last 8 years. Her training and experience in Aotearoa, France and India have led her to fuse elements of physical theatre, extended voice-work, mask-work, clowning, dance, storytelling and poetry, into a fresh and stimulating teaching style.
